AmanyLynne Van Hauter has been teaching Danse du Ventre, Belly Dancing, for over twenty-five years. Her training has included many classes from the masters from New York city, D.C., N.J., Fla., and PA area, with training in the ethnic dances from Morocco, Tunisia, Persia, Lebanon, and Egypt, using the props of cane, sword, spoons, zagats, and veils. She has worked extensively in choreographing using the Middle Eastern music, teaching troupe choreography to dancers to perform in the area, and has worked in preparing dancers to become professional performers and teachers in this area. The dance form is a positive way to make changes in our lives physically, mentally, and spiritually by creating dance within the music, and by joining other women in celebration of womanhood the way that women of the Middle Eastern culture do.
